Copenhagen Favorites

Who knew I could be so happy in sub-freezing temperatures? Copenhagen, and its fashion week were such a delight. I can’t wait to go back with Graham—maybe get an Airbnb for three months? It’s definitely a super inspiring place. Here are the things saw and loved! There are so many interesting creatives and brands in this city,. It has a sense of elegance—and a sense of cool—that I really connect with. Shops are pretty great too. And it’s small, you can walk everywhere! I didn’t have much time, but visited two museums. I really, really want to get to the Louisiana Museum next time, but in the meantime, Glyptoteket is super interesting—and I’d love to talk to an architect about the building itself, which felt slightly over the top at times—columns, colors, all different sorts of marbles... A lot. But overall, I loved it and recommend it! The Design Museum really helps understand the incredible influence Denmark has on modern design. I knew it, but now, I KNOW it. Not a museum, but I loved Louise Roe’s Gallery, and only regretted I couldn’t visit all the incredible design and vintage furniture around. Emil, Louise’s son, recommended that I come back for the 3 Days Of Design in June (better time to walk on the street!), and I might do that. I followed Farrah’s recommendations and was not disappointed… That’s all for now! There is so, so, so much more for me to discover and I can’t wait to go back.
