What's Your Archetype
As we near Ostara in the Northern Hemisphere and Mabon in the Southern, my guides keep urging me to share a concept with you. But before I do, things have been blossoming over here. I opened up the two hives this past weekend, and the bees are shooting to and fro with unbelievable joy at all of the native blossoms on our land right now. They keep coming back with what my friend Kate calls their cute little “pollen pants.” I also had the not-so-irrational (maybe?) idea to have Max walk our goats, sheep, alpacas, and our Great Pyrenees down the street to my mother-in-law’s each morning so they can graze her acre instead of having it weed-eated this late spring. It’s a hysterical sight watching this whole gang cruise down the street while cars stop and wait for them to pass. My friend Indigo caught it on video after she ended up behind them. I also had the tremendous luck that Shoppe Maison found a vintage NZ Pippy spinning wheel and picked it up for me. I put out the bat signal to see if I could find a teacher in Los Angeles to teach me fiber spinning as a total beginner, and after Nextdoor posts, an email to the Los Angeles Spinners Guild, Instagram outreach, re-signing up for Facebook to post in local groups, and a few emails to nearby farms, I finally had some luck. My lessons start next week. Finding a spinning instructor is shockingly harder than you might imagine, which makes me sad that this is a lost art form that quite literally everyone knew how to do a couple hundred years ago. So when shearing day comes in a few weeks, I’ll be holding some of the fiber back from the mill to process and spin myself. Let’s get into today’s topic. So much is shifting before our eyes as we move toward the new paradigm of 2027, and many of us can already feel the fragility of each day — not in a frightening way, but in the way a leaf hangs loosely and gently before it finally falls from the tree. Each evening before bed, this is the clearest way I can describe the collective sensation of movement and transition. There is an understanding that the fallen leaf will become the essential mulch that nourishes the soil from which new shoots, new life, and a new paradigm will emerge. I am not a Human Design expert, nor an astrology expert, nor an authority in any particular system (outside of manifestation). What I am, however, is someone who can read energy — one of my strongest gifts — paired with claircognizance, which simply means I just know things. Together, these abilities are giving me a deep sense of peace. But my guides are asking me to help extend that same peace to those who may not be able to sense or interpret what is unfolding — or who may not yet understand what is happening. At first, I didn’t do much with the message. But each time I sat down in meditation, they began flashing stones — minerals — before me: pearl and emerald (a stone I don’t even particularly love). They were encased in 24k gold, almost exaggeratedly so, as if to ensure they had my attention — which they did, because I love working with talismans. As the message deepened, the imagery expanded: blossoms in full sun, bees moving in every direction, weaving, tending to animals, eggs, and overflowing abundance. Then it clicked. Of course. They were showing me the Empress (in tarot) and Freya (the goddess) — the archetypes that reflect the season I am currently inhabiting. The stones I am meant to wear and work with. The plants that are allying with me at this time. And the meaning behind all of it as the old paradigm falls away and roots into the new. Let’s find your archetype (below) in this season in a way that helps you root deeply into your authenticity, your gifts, and a grounded sense of safety and empowerment. You can find my Airbnb here. You can find my company here. You can find my book here. You can find me on Instagram here. These visuals that my guides have been showing me have continued over the past two weeks, even up until this morning. It feels important that I share them. But how does someone find their archetype if they don’t already have all of this symbolic and historical knowledge? There are a few ways. Step 1: Inventory Your Joy In a stream of consciousness, write only what you love and what reliably brings you genuine joy, curiosity, or aliveness. Keep it concrete (activities, environments, roles, crafts, rhythms, responsibilities you actually enjoy). When you finish, look to the mythic or symbolic system that most resonates with you (for example: mythology from your cultural heritage, tarot, or another tradition you trust) and note which figures/cards/stories you feel repeatedly drawn toward. Step 2: Track Your Mineral Pull Write down the stones, shells, or minerals you are most drawn to right now. Include: What you already own and keep reaching for What you keep noticing “by chance” What colors/textures you’re repeatedly attracted to Research their historical and metaphysical associations and record the keywords that show up across multiple sources. Step 3: Identify Your Plant Ally List the flowers, herbs, trees, or medicinal plants that have been showing up around you recently (in nature, in your garden, in books, online, in conversation). Also list plants you feel pulled to grow, purchase, dry, drink, or learn about. Research: Traditional medicinal uses Ecological characteristics (how/where it grows, what conditions it thrives in, what it supports in its ecosystem) Symbolic meanings in folklore (where available) Step 4: Find the Throughlines Compare your notes from Steps 1–3 and underline repeated themes (examples: protection, fertility, boundaries, vision, endurance, creativity, cleansing, sovereignty, community, repair). If you don’t have the time to research all of this, simply enter your answers from Steps 1–3 into the AI tool of your choice with the following prompt: “Based on these answers, what is my archetype in tarot and mythology? What is this stone, mineral, or shell trying to tell me? What medicinal and metaphysical messages does this plant hold for me in this current season? And what is the throughline through each of these that can help me anchor more deeply and authentically into my truth right now?”
