For authors + journalists

Your voice. Your work. Two revenue rails.

Listeners hear you read your own work. Your voice clone stays yours — you control it, you own it, you can revoke it anytime. We stack two payout rails on top: ElevenLabs Voice Actor Payouts plus Storyflo USDC rev-share on Base.

~30 minutes of clean audio + a 10-minute Voice Captcha. We help source the samples if you don't have one ready.
For children's book authors

Your books reaching10k+ parent listeners every week.

Two voice options for the narrator — your choice. Either way, your work lands in the bedtime queues of parents who curate stories for their kids on Storyflo. We don't take audio rights, the license is non-exclusive, and you can pull out anytime.

Pick your narrator
Option A · Your voice

Your voice cloned

10-min Voice Captcha via ElevenLabs. Your books play in your voice on Storyflo. EL pays you per character on their global platform — that's a second income stream on top of Storyflo's USDC rev-share, stacked, not instead of.

Option B · A pro voice you pick

Professional voice you pick

We send 3 sample voices from the ElevenLabs Voice Library. You pick. Same rev-share on listens — no clone needed, no voice captcha, no 30-min sample upload. You just choose the narrator and we do the rest.

Where your books land

Parents who curate

They pick what plays at bedtime, queue your books in their household feed. Parent-controlled — they review and decide, your book just shows up in the pool.

Daily Storytime briefing

Stella reads books from the library to a curated parent network — fresh daily, warm motherly tone. Your title gets airtime in the briefing rotation when it fits the day's theme.

Why authors do this

Distribution + payouts, without losing the voice.

Audience

Reach Storyflo listeners daily

Your work lands inside the daily Top-10 briefings — read by you, in your voice. New ears, every day, without you writing a single extra word.

Revenue

Earn USDC per listen

Storyflo splits subscription revenue back to your wallet — paid in USDC on Base — on every listen of your work. Stacked on top of ElevenLabs payouts.

Control

Keep your voice rights

You own the clone. You can revoke it anytime from your ElevenLabs Voice Lab — and we pull it from the Storyflo render pool the same day.

Two stacked rails

One voice clone.Paid twice.

Sharing your voice to the ElevenLabs Voice Library unlocks the EL Voice Actor Payouts rail. On top of that, every Storyflo listen of your work also splits Storyflo's subscription revenue back to your wallet.

Rail 01 · ElevenLabs

EL Voice Actor Payouts

$0.011–0.03 per 1,000 chars

ElevenLabs pays you directly every time your shared voice is used to render audio. Rate is per 1,000 characters synthesized, scaled to your tier and creator status.

  • Paid weekly via Stripe Connect by ElevenLabs
  • $10 minimum payout threshold
  • EL handles tax forms + payout rails
  • Excludes free-user listens (paid renders only)
Rail 02 · Storyflo

USDC rev-share on Base

What it takes from you

About 40 minutes,end-to-end.

We won't pretend it's zero work — but it's one sitting. After that, the rails run on their own and you're just collecting payouts.

~10 min

ElevenLabs Voice Captcha

You read a short prompt EL gives you. It's how ElevenLabs verifies the voice is actually yours — there's no shortcut around it, and there shouldn't be.

~30 min audio

Clean voice samples

A podcast clip, a YouTube interview, a Loom — any clean audio of you speaking, roughly 30 minutes total. If you don't have one ready, we'll help source from existing public appearances.

Free + Creator

ElevenLabs account

Free ElevenLabs account is fine to start, but Professional Voice Cloning requires the Creator tier or above. Our grant covers the rendering compute after — not your account.

The flow

Seven steps fromprompt to payout.

Same flow, two zoom levels. The four-card strip is the one-glance shape; the numbered list below is the click-by-click walkthrough.

1

elevenlabs.io, free account is fine to start.

2

Record samples

~30 min of clean audio — we'll help source.

3

Get your voice trained

ElevenLabs Voice Captcha + PVC, ~10 min.

4

Earn while you sleep

Two rails activate on the next listen.

  1. 1

Create or sign in to ElevenLabs

Head to elevenlabs.io and sign in. Free account is fine to register — you'll upgrade to Creator before the cloning step.

  2. 2

Voice Lab → Add Voice → Professional Voice Clone

From your ElevenLabs dashboard, open Voice Lab and start a new Professional Voice Clone (PVC) — not the Instant Voice Clone. PVC is the only path that unlocks the Voice Library + payouts.

  3. 3

Upload ~30 min of clean voice samples

Podcast appearances, YouTube interviews, a Loom recording — anything where it's clearly you speaking, no music underneath, no other speakers. If you don't have a clip ready, reply to our email and we'll help source from your public appearances.

  4. 4

Complete the Voice Captcha (~10 min)

ElevenLabs prompts you to read a specific block of text on camera/mic. This proves the voice is yours and unlocks PVC. Sit in a quiet room, take your time, you only have to do this once.

  5. 5

Share your voice to the Voice Library

From the cloned voice settings, toggle "Share to Voice Library". This is the gate for the EL Voice Actor Payouts rail — without it the EL payout rail does not activate.

  6. 6

Email us back: voice ID + Base wallet

Reply with the ElevenLabs voice ID (it'll look like a short string in your Voice Lab) plus the Base wallet address you want Storyflo USDC rev-share paid to. That's all we need from you.

  7. 7

Storyflo wires it into your renders, within 24h

We bind the cloned voice to your publication on the Storyflo side. Every new article we render in your name from then on uses your voice — and both rails start accruing on the next listen.

We'll meet you halfway

Stuck on a step? We'll handle it.

Don't have voice samples?

Reply to the intro email with a link to a podcast you've been on, a YouTube interview, a conference talk, anything public — we'll pull a clean 30-minute extract for you and walk it through the upload.

Revocable

Pull the voice from your ElevenLabs Voice Lab and we drop it from the Storyflo render pool the same day.

FAQ

Commonauthor questions.

Who owns the voice clone?

You do. The Professional Voice Clone lives inside your ElevenLabs account, on your login, under your control. Storyflo only holds your ElevenLabs voice ID — a pointer — plus the Base wallet you want payouts sent to. Delete the clone in ElevenLabs and our pointer is dead the same day.

How and when do I get paid?

Two rails. ElevenLabs Voice Actor Payouts pay you directly each week via Stripe Connect once you cross the $10 EL threshold (rate is $0.011–0.03 per 1,000 characters synthesized). Storyflo USDC rev-share settles on Base mainnet to the wallet you give us — on Storyflo's subscription billing cadence.

What gets used? Just my Storyflo articles?

By default: only articles you submit or that we render in your name on Storyflo. We don't pull random content into your voice. You can also add an opt-in for the Top-10 daily briefing pool if you want broader distribution — purely additive, off by default.

Can I opt out later?

Yes — three layers. (1) Revoke the clone from your ElevenLabs Voice Lab, the upstream kill switch. (2) Email story@storyflo.com asking us to drop the voice from the render pool — we action within 24h. (3) Pause distribution per-article from your future Storyflo dashboard. Already-rendered audio stays live so listener queues don't 404; you can request takedown of any specific item.

Is this exclusive? Can I clone my voice for other platforms too?

Not exclusive. The Voice Library share is global by design — any platform pulling from the ElevenLabs Voice Library can render with your voice, and you earn the EL payout regardless. Storyflo only asks for distribution rights inside Storyflo, not exclusivity over your voice.

What does it actually take from me, time-wise?

One sitting. ~30 minutes of clean audio samples (we'll help you source from existing podcast/YouTube appearances) plus a ~10-minute ElevenLabs Voice Captcha you do once. After that you're just collecting payouts — no recurring work.

What if I don't have clean voice samples lying around?

Reply to the intro email with a link to anywhere you've spoken publicly — a podcast appearance, a YouTube interview, a conference talk, a Loom — and we'll extract a clean 30-minute sample for you and walk it through the ElevenLabs upload.

Does Storyflo cover the ElevenLabs subscription cost?

No — Creator tier (or above) is required for Professional Voice Cloning and you sign up directly with ElevenLabs. Our grant covers Storyflo's rendering compute downstream, not your account fees. EL Creator is typically the cheapest tier that unlocks PVC.
