The judging panel for the Dezeen Awards 2026 has been announced, featuring notable figures from the design world, including interior designer Wendy Saunders, designer Gustaf Westman, design director Zhou Tan, and sustainable entrepreneur Ramnath Sri Ram. The awards, now in their ninth year, aim to recognize the best in architecture, interiors, and design, with submissions open until May 27.
Wendy Saunders, co-founder of Aim Architecture in Shanghai, will oversee the interior design entries. Her firm focuses on projects that foster social change, with recent work transforming oil silos into community parks and creating innovative resort spaces. Gustaf Westman, based in Stockholm, is known for his playful and simplistic design approach, having collaborated with brands like IKEA and Mercedes-Benz on unique furniture and homeware.
Ramnath Sri Ram brings a sustainable business perspective to the panel as the founder of Supreme Creations, which specializes in eco-friendly packaging. His company has introduced reusable grocery bags to the UK market and supplies major brands while also supporting charitable initiatives. Zhou Tan, co-founder of Design Shanghai, rounds out the panel, contributing over two decades of experience in the creative sector and insights into the growing interest in locally designed products in China.
With just three weeks left to enter, designers are encouraged to submit their projects across 49 categories. The entry process is straightforward, requiring participants to create an account, answer a few questions, and upload project images. The Dezeen Awards are held in partnership with Trimble, a global technology company dedicated to enhancing design productivity and creativity.
